A day at Magic Kingdom!

Well, the weekend is almost over again, and tomorrow will be Monday already.  :-(  Not sure I am ready to start another week, but doubt I will have much choice.  Today was our "work" day and Eric got a lot done around the house.  It was a scorcher outside today, and the heat index, or "real feel" was 107.  Standing outside in the Florida sun with this high humidity was too much for me, but he was able to stand it I guess.

Yesterday we had fun at Magic Kingdom.  We woke up early and got there right when the park opened, which we swear is the only way to do it.  The crowds are so much less in the morning, and it is not nearly as hot.  We were able to do a few things that we actually had never done before, like the rides Astro Orbiter (usually the line is way too long and there is no Fast Pass), and we finally convinced Ava to try the ride Splash Mountain.  By "convinced" I mean "forced" her to ride.  She was terrified, and kept wanting to get out of line, but I was the mean mommy and made her go on it.  I told her if she didn't like it, we would never make her do it again, but that I was pretty sure she would, since she loved roller coasters.  Guess who was right??  She wanted to go on it again with Daddy, which she did, as we had another Fast Pass, and then wanted to go on it a third time because it was "so much fun!"  She asked me today if we could go back to Magic Kingdom because she wanted to do Splash Mountain four or five times in a row. :-)

As the day went on, it became ridiculously hot and much busier, so we left the park at about 3:00 p.m.  We were able to see a few of the characters as well, which Silas was SUPER excited about!  He was almost asleep in his stroller when he saw Pluto, and that woke him up immediately.  He LOVES Donald Duck, which he just calls, "DUCCKK."  Say it like you are trying to get something out of your throat, and that is about how he sounds.  When it was his turn, he walked right up to Donald Duck and proclaimed in his little voice, "Hi Ducckk!!"  Enjoy our pictures!

Our photos of us during the ride.  I was super serious about getting all the bad guys, apparently. :-)

Cooling off in the mist sprayer.

It was super hot that day, and this felt great!

My Loves  :-)

Ava wanted me to take this picture, and she said she is "booing" Gaston, because he is not nice. :-)

A tired, hot, sweaty little boy.......

This is the new Little Mermaid ride, "Under the Sea."

It is super cute!

Made it through another week!

IT'S FRIDAY!!!  I am not sure why this week seemed so long, but it did.  I did not have very many daycare kids, and perhaps that it way.  I was not nearly as busy as last week, and the days just seemed to drag by soooooo slowly.  But we made it!  We have had our standard, "Friday night pizza" for supper, and the family is watching Star Wars (shocker, right??) while I am updating the blog.  Not too terribly much to report, so I will just post my pictures from the week.
Silas wanted to help Daddy mow the lawn.  :-)

What a good helper!

Adorable!!

This is what a great dog Daisy is.....she let Ava put a tiara on her and cover her up with a blanket.  She didn't move, even though the tiara pushed her hair down over her eyes and she couldn't see.  Best dog ever!

Giving his version of two thumbs up again.

Goofball Silas!

Taking his baby doll for a stroll, while wearing his Thomas hat backwards and Mrs. Potato Head's glasses.  Love this guy!

Ava is always writing sweet things to her brother.

Our very own crash test dummy.  :-)

Ava wanted me to do her hair like Princess Lea from Star Wars, and wear a tiara like a "real princess."

Side picture of the famous "buns."

It was raining outside, like it is everyday, and Ava put on her swimsuit to go outside and "dance in the rain."  She is loving life!
